Hi Tim,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

My interpretation of your question is you want to run X-Plane on its own without the ability of using VR.  The same question was asked a few questions back in this forum.

My memory tells me the simple solution given at that time was at boot-up of X-Plane there is a box or tag that needs to be ticked to run VR.  Make sure the box has been "unticked"  and X-Plane will run normally with no indication that you have VR components connected.  Because my system is mothballed at present I am not able to check the possible solution.

Hope it works and good luck.

Hi Glenn

Yes your right there is a tick box in the VR tab also a big blue button on the front screen, the trouble is the SIM never gets that far. because it try to load the VR component front start-up and i never get to the option to disable the VR.

Hi Tim,

If you have tried my suggestion I can't assist any further.  Hopefully another VR user or Laminar Research (Jennifer (jroberts)) will pick-up on your dilemma.

As a parting gesture try running the installer program.  This will check for any faulty, damaged or missing files. In going this way it saves having to delete and reinstall the software.

Sorry I can't help any further.
