Orbital simulation

Question

Does X-Plane provide out of window display for low orbit spacecraft? I was wondering if I can use X-Plane for simulation of a low-orbit spacecraft. Does it provide a (doesn't have to be accurate) star background?

X-Plane has stars in the sky at night (as long as there aren't clouds of course) and earth orbit textures. I would recommend trying out the demo to see if these will meet your needs. The earth textures will be missing (the demo only has some scenery around KSEA) but you can check out the stars and the window view.
