Is a true (computer wise) random number seeding used to generate / determine how the turbulence and gusting is varied? Or is a simple basic (set of) computer loop(s) used? I ask because often at times the motion of the aircraft (e.g. C172) in turbulence and gusts seems cyclic (repetitive) rather than random. Any info appreciated>

Weather in X-Plane is designed to be random. Every time you start X-Plane you should get a different sequence of random-ness. If you don't believe this is happening for you, first remove all addons to see if that affects it. If you still have problems, file a bug report here with as much detail as possible--all weather settings, aircraft, airport, etc.
