Will the G1000 FMS clickspots always require the dexterity of a surgeon???

Inputting a simple direct to airport code on the ground takes me at least five minutes with the mouse. There is no hope for me flying full procedures like this...

I would click on the G1000 display you would want to use to make it bigger, it makes clicking buttons/turning the dials a lot more easy :)

But then the display switches from the VR goggles to the 2D monitor. And worse, none of the mouse clicks then work in VR. And at least in the case of the Aerobask DA-62 I have not found any way to get back so the mouse is active in the goggles again.
