While trying to update x-plane I receive an HTTP 403 error and now x-plane crashes.  When I do a clean install I get the same errors -- tried everything, including clearing my cache, shutting off my firewalls, etc.  Please help.

I have gotten this error as well, running installer with admin privileges

A 403 error is usually as a result of a permission issue on the server side.  Can Laminar Research look into their permissions on their download site?  I have never had this issue with any other download except this one installation.

Agreed, wonder if too many hitting the server?

I guess that is possible given the update.  I'll give it a few days. If that were the issue, I would think there would be more support requests about the error.  I've been using the sim since xplane 9 and this is the first time I have seen this issue.

I cant even include the log file because xplane has not created the file folder on the desktop or anywhere else.
