Dear Laminar:

I am a 100% American Disabled Veteran that has started in with building and setting up a Flight Simulator. One of my disabilities is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) so I get easily confused with all of this new aviation set-up jargon and am not very computer literate. TBI has affected my logic patterns also so I get confused figuring out how to setup various switches, etc., in sequence and how to connect them. I live in the Tampa Bay area in Florida.

I desperately need assistance setting up some of my software and hardware and linking the software to my hardware components so my simulator runs smoothly,
I just purchased X-Plane 11 since I believe the 64-bit is the way of the future and due to the reviews I read on the internet.

I installed it (direct download) and SPAD.neXT X-Plane 11 Pay version) on my computer.

I have other software available that is shown at the end of this memo.

I need to know if X-Plane will:

  • run on my computer,
  • run all of my Saitek/Logitech Components, and
  • loading software and hardware install and setup sequence,
  • if I need to purchase and install special FIP software such as sold at FSX TIMES,
  • if you know of anybody locally (Tampa Bay Area) that can assist me with setup.

I currently have Flight Simulator peripherals set up on a cockpit panel (see picture) with the below Saitek/Logitech Components.

8 – Flight Instrument Panels (Normally would use as basic-6, compass, and EFS)

1 – Pro Flight Yoke

1 – Pro Flight Rudders

1 – Cessna Trim Wheel

1 – Pro Flight Radio Panel

1 – Pro Flight TPM Panel

1 – Pro Flight Switch Panel

1 – Pro Flight Multi Panel

1 - Advance Cockpit Mounting Panel for Logitech/Saitek Components
