Error reading controller configuration

Nothing is working, stuck in hangar. If I hit Esc I can move to VR cockpit but controller is not working and I cannot go to settings to configure it or calibrate it.

Not sure if this is related:

When I "wake up" my WMR  VR motion controllers, the following error message appears in X-Plane version 11.21r2

Error reading joystick configuration (.joy) file:
Resources/joystick configs/WMR_right.joy
Errors were:
Unknown button (Button 0)
Unknown button (Button 1)
Unknown button in Configuration Group 1 (Button 2)
Unknown button in Configuration Group 2 (Button 1)

The suggestions in this post did not fix the issue.   (Delete the prefs file)

The problem was probably due to steamvr beta update as I read in steam community that many users had WMR controller problems with the last steamvr beta update.

I was opt-in steamvr beta so I had affected.

Opt-out steamvr beta - controller did not worked

Uninstalled and installed again steamvr (opt-out beta) - controller did not worked

Deleted X-Plane Joystick Settings.prf  - controller is working now (I had to re-configure joystick, rudder pedals, etc.)

So finally I managed to solve the issue.

Maybe uninstalling and installing again steamvr wasn't necessary and just opt-out steamvr beta and deleting joystick prefs was enough.

This fix did not work for me.  I deleted the X-Plane Joystick Settings.prf.  Also, I was already opted out of steamvr beta, but upon viewing my update history, I was getting the beta updates anyway.  So I unistalled steamvr, then reinstalled.  Still not working.  So I deleted WMR_right.joy, and still not working.
