Hello,

I recently bought a Steam digital version of X-Plane 11. I used to play a lot since a week... But there have been a problem : a couple days ago, my X-Plane 11.exe disappeared from my X-Plane 11 folder (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11). Then, without asking myself too much questions, I uninstalled the whole game and installed it again. It worked, and I played. This Tuesday morning, I launched my game and have piloted the 172SP. I pressed Alt+F4 to close the game window, clicked on "Quit" or something like this, and the game have closed. Not many hours later, I tried to launch the game by using the Steam interface, and it said (it's originally in french, I made the translation by myself ^^) :

'An error has occurred during the X-Plane 11 update (corrupt content files)

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\X-Plane.exe

Consult the Steam Support section for more informations'

Then I checked in the game folder, X-Plane 11 wasn't here any longer.

The first time it happened I decided to create a backup folder of the game. It works, though, but I would have explanations about that.

So... It happenned once, that's OK. But this is the second time it happens, for no apparent reason... Why ? Am I the only one who has/had this problem ? Can someone help me about that ?

Informations :

I use Ortho4XP sceneries, Better Pushback, AutoGate, HeadShake, X-IvAp, and a couple of other sceneries and additionnal free planes (from XPFR and X-Plane.org)

My PC config : Asus B250M-A (motherboard), Intel Core i5-7500 (CPU), 2x8 GB RAM (memory), Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC 8 Go VRAM (graphics card), and 3 To in both SSHD and HDD (storage). It's running Windows 10 x64.

Log.txt file here

I thank you a lot :)

Are you using any Flight Factor products?

You should also be able to have Steam check the file integrity to replace the missing file.

Hi,

You are not the only one with this problem. I was playing xplane 11 a couple a days ago, the game worked perfectly. I tried to run the game yesterday but the same message/ error popped up saying (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/X-Plane 11/ X-Plane.exe" (corrupt files) and I can not play the game. I have never encountered this problem and have never heard of a X-plane.exe file before. I do not know how to fix this problem, I have even tried reinstalling the game.
