Log FileHi everyone! I recently updated my Win. 10 to the version 1803. I did a clean install of X-Plane with the update 11.25r2. I previously checked if all my drivers were clean and updated...

When i try to start the X-Plane application, it shows a black screen... the mouse indicates that the computer is working... then: X-Plane.exe stop without showing the loading screen (737NG cockpit).

When i get into the logfile i see OpenAL extensions: ...... -{This application stopped working.}-

So, I assume OpenAL is the problem. A quick search on the internet gives me the info that it is in charge of the sound generated into X-Plane. I updated many times my sound-card driver, i uploaded the last version of OpenAL... but nothing seems to work.

Anybody have an idea on how to fix it? I miss flying on X-Plane!! :-)  Many thanks in advance!!

Have a great day

If the automatic crash reporter comes up, be sure to fill it out & send it in.

A good place to look is at the preferences. Move the preferences folder (found in the Output folder) to the desktop, then restart X‑Plane and default preferences will be restored. If the default preferences do not fix your problem, you can simply replace them with the folder you moved to the desktop and restore your personalized settings.

The final common culprit is third party add ons, such as scenery and plugins. Try moving the Custom Scenery folder and plugins folder (found in the Resources folder) to the desktop, then restart X-Plane.

Thank you for your answer jroberts!

Well, i tried everything you told me::: but nothing fixed the problem..

The same OpenAL problem shows up on the Log file.

I will try to perform a fresh install without any plugin or custom scenery and i will keep you updated.

For someone who's facing the same problem, i pushed the investigation further and the conflict happened between the plugin: Reshade 3.4.0 and the software OpenAL.

Hope it will help.
