Cant save logbook

Hi Im running 10.45 however an issue im having is that I am unable to save my logbook. Whenever I go into choose my logbook the output folder isnt even shown. I can start a new logbook but cannot recall it and each time i start x plane my logbook is clear.

Please assist as i got this for my 13 year old son who finally seems interested in something.

I believe the logbook information should be saved automatically. If you are trying to load a different logbook and you don't see the list, try clicking on the top level folder in the list (X-Plane 10). That should expand the hierarchy so you can see the Output folder.
