Activation: AirportVS ????

Question

After the last update, I received this question box regarding Activation: AirportVS XX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX ?? when i start xplane11. I've spent so much money on Xplane10 and 11 with all the accessories and now this question comes up? Have I missed any mail or the like? Which serial number? I need to unlock this in order to fly again? I am most active the dark time in Sweden in autumn, winter and spring. So I want to get started Xplane11 soon again, because it starts to darken out again in the evenings after work. One more question ? Is there a dongel I can order again, the same as I have for Xplane 10, in order not to prove with the Xplane 11 CD that I bought this myself ? By the way, I'm very pleased with X Plane, it's so realistic! I'm an old former real private pilot. Regards Peter

It is that i have downloaded a program from Xplane.org / " store.x-plane.org " called "Airport Visual System" (AVS).

This program is useful assistant during Airport navigation ! But but we need to enter the product key again at the start of X.plane 11 after this uppdate. Best regards Peter

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

Which program is asking for the activation code?

If it is the 3rd party software purchased from X-Plane.org then you need to make contact with them or raise your problem on their forum.  Although that site is a dedicated X-Plane user site it has no connection with Laminar Research (X-Plane.com)

If your problem is associated with X-Plane then you need to ensure that DVD disc 1 is inserted in the DVD drive at all times when running X-Plane.  If the disc is in your drive when updating it should be detected during the process.

Unfortunately, unlike XP10 there is no substitute USB dongle for XP11 as there was/is with XP10  If the disc is not inserted my memory tells me that when you are asked for the activation key there is an option whereby you tick the box advising you have a disc version and x-plane should run.  If you don't then the program will automatically default to the demo version having been there and done that.
