I was attempting the VOR-A approach into KSBP first with the HotStart TBM 900 and then with the default Cessna 172 G1000. Both times, the plane made a good turn onto the procedure turn, heading 309 degrees. However, on the turn back, instead of turning LEFT, the plane made an incorrect RIGHT turn (although it did end up on the correct heading of 129 degrees.) See the red arrow in the picture below (from the TBM, but exactly the same thing happened in the 172.) I then tried the same approach in the default 172 without the G1000, just the standard 530, and that time it made the correct left turn. So this looks like a G1000 problem. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix coming?
