How do I fix the buttons on my yoke?

I have my yoke plugged in, so I go to the settings and go into joystick and systems, then I go over to the buttons section and hit a button on my yoke, the button number doesn't change, and nothing happens in flight. I have had this for about 8 months and have never had this problem!

Assuming the yoke is an USB device, try plugging it into another USB port while the computer is on and see if you hear the beep as it connects, if you do, it should work now.

Other than that you need to supply more details as to any changes you made just before this happened.
