Do I have to re-download everything to re-install (I already have the full installation in a folder)?

Question

X-Plane 10 was installed on my old computer.  I got a new (much faster) computer.  I copied the X-Plane 10 folder from my old computer to my new computer.  XPlane would not run without doing an install.  So I ran the installer.  The installer wanted to re-download everything from the XPlane server instead of realizing that all the files were already there.  Is there any way to copy or do a minimal re-install without having to download everything (which takes a long, long time)?

I'm just a fellow simmer in the UK, but as the X-Plane 10 & 11 root folder structures are completely stand alone, there shouldn't be any reason why it should not load and open successfully, assuming of course that there are no other hardware/software issues going on?

Presumably if you look in File Explorer, your X-Plane 10 install directory looks something like C:\X-Plane 10....?

If you have to run the X-Plane installer, it will automatically give you the latest X-Plane 11 ver.11.30 edition.

You can however still download the X-Plane 10 version from their website, which doesn't take that long to install, assuming that you have high speed broadband?
