How to confugure the weather

Hello. I bought x-planw 11 in steam some weeks ago and everything works fine, except the weather configurator. When I open the simulator, I can´t make a custom weather, however after some hour palying I can configure it. Why does it happen?

I'm seeing weirdness with weather as well.  

Try opening the Flight->Show IOS (instructor observer station)

Set the weather you want (wind directions here are magnetic, METARS directions are true)

Click change Weather.

(You may have to do it again after the "Use Current Weather - Refresh interval"?)
