I am not from Laminar Research; just a flight simmer from downunder.
If you want to use the software for your own personal home use, including any family members, then purchase the "normal" digital download version. The home use version can be loaded onto any number of computers but can only used on one computer at any one time My other commercial pilots like yourself do exactly what you propose.
My understanding is the professional version is for multiple users within flight training schools From what you have advised you do not need or require the professional version.
