10.45r2 quits unexpectedly - El Capitan 10.11.5

Question

I am running X-Plane 10.45r2 on my Mac - El Capitan 10.11.5.  After 2-5 minutes of flying (F-4, Cessna 172) the program stops running, returns me to the desktop and notifies me "X-Plane 10.45r2 quit unexpectedly".  Have uninstalled and reinstalled the program (and updates) a number of times to no avail.  I love X-Plane but am so frustrated I'm ready to put the discs in the shredder. Can anyone out there help?

If you can, please try to see if there are exact steps that cause this crash. Is it with the same scenery/flight plan/etc? Please upload a copy of your log.txt and one of the Apple Crash Reports in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ (where ~ refers to your Home directory) from one of these times.
