Plane is not going to airport or is going around in circles

Hi there, I hope who ever is reading this is having a great day or night, so I just started playing the game a few days ago, and I know tha basic like starting the plane and using the fmc and I’m putting in the right waypoints and hitting LNAV, but the plane seems to either go around in circles or just completely pass the airport. What am I doing wrong?

This may not be the reason in your case…  Assuming the FMC has been probably programmed, the plane could end up circling if the autopilot is inadvertently disengaged—it happens sometimes.  Check the autopilot indicator (e.g. Cmd A).
