Why are the Update Servers so slow?

I have a 400 Mbit/s Cable Internet Connection. I have reinstalled my X Plane 10 from DVD after I reinstalled my Operating System (Windows 10 Pro x64). Now I want to update my X Plane but the update is at 1 kB/s. I should wat over 500 houres to update my X Plane version. How Can that be.

Depending on where you are located, there may not be a lot of servers for the CDN we use to provide our product download. That can slow it down a bit. Or there could be temporary issues with the CDN and you might want to try again later to see if it is resolved.
