How do I install my purchased X-Plane onto a new pc, owned by me?

I am about to buy a new iMac and will be using this new PC to run my X-Plane 10, currently installed on the MacBook I am using to send this email.  How do I re-install my copy of X-Plane 10 onto the new PC? Will the existing code-key work etc?

The xplane team doesn't want you to do this because it will not work.

Yes, you will be able to re-install X-Plane on your new computer. The product key and DVDs will install on any and all of your home computers.
