I loaded Xplane onto a new PC but disc 1 will not unlock full version - why?

I bought a new PC, loaded my newly purchased Xplane 10 using the two set dvds.  This new PC died the next day so I returned it and got a another new PC. I loaded Xplane 10 again using the DVDs onto this second new pc and everything (including online updates) loaded well but when I got to the point of unlocking the full version and inserted disc 1 it would not open the program but just stayed at that gray window.  Do I need to get another key to operate xplane as the dvd disc 1 unlock to full version doesn't seem to be working?

It sounds like the disc is still in working order if you were able to use it to reinstall X-Plane on the new PC. Please attach a copy of your log.txt and a screenshot of where you get stuck in unlocking the sim with the DVD.
