Can you perform the preflight check list in this program before takeoff?

I am looking for a good flying program for practice (I have just started lessons).  I would find practicing the pre-flight checklist very useful at this point.  Is the pre-flight part of your program?

X-Plane has a very basic interface that will read a .txt file checklist. It's not a very robust feature, honestly.

There is a nice free plugin called XChecklist that you might prefer to use, rather than the default. We covered using it in an email newsletter earlier this year if you'd like more info on it. You can also try it out with the free demo to see if it will meet your needs.

If you are willing, the X-Plane community also offers a multitude of quality to high-quality payware (as in not free) aircraft made available by third-parties. Many of them can be found here:

Since you are a starting pilot, I reckon you are starting in an aircraft like a Cessna 172/182 or perhaps a Piper Cherokee. I highly recommend this add-on:
