i am using ipadPRO, ios 9.1

I am learning the cessna 172 and doing the Landing tutorial Mission.

The app puts an arrows on the screen to point out the rudder and and throtle and flaps.

When flyging the mission, the throttle works and the rudder control works.

The flaps slider is displayed on the screen, but when I touch and drag, flags do not adjust.

The app is hinting to add flags to slow down for landing, but flap control is not working!

What is the trick to make this work?

Thx,

yes, I finally figured it out.

Flap control does not move up and down like power or rudder control.

The trick is to touch the center icon containing the wing flap image and then drag down or up until you touch the up or down arrow.  The flaps will adjust.

My mistake was expecting the entire Flap control to slide up / down, similar to the Power control.

Hi mfannin,

I could not reproduce this on my iPhone 6, iOS 9.1, X-Plane mobile version 10.1.0(38). I know this sounds silly, but are you dragging the right direction? When flaps are at 0, if you touch the icon and drag up, nothing will happen, so make sure you touch the icon and drag your finger down towards the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it is also picky that you touch it exactly in the middle. I sometimes have issues with moving the view when I mean to grab the rudder icon, for example.
