I get this warning:

udp_socket_write udp_init SEND failed!

This is almost certainly because you are running another copy on of  X-plane no the same computer!

Then it talks about IPv6 but I have checked that I'm not running (knowingly) a second copy and that IPv6 is running.

Please help

Please try restarting your computer. If it continues to happen, please post a copy of the log.txt after starting X-Plane, seeing the message and it quits.

How do I find the text log (the X-plane app just quits)
commented by (12 points)

This is the only info I get and when you click UNDERSTOOD x-plane quits.

If you are able to start & quit X-Plane, in any manner including like this, the log.txt will be found in the main X-Plane folder. You can attach it to a comment using the icon that looks like a black page with a + on it.

Hello, Firstly thanks for the continued help I'm really not sure what seems to be going on here. I've downloaded the file here and if you need the full text version please let me know.

Please grab the latest X-Plane 10 installer here and pick the update option. It wills scan your install and repair any missing or damaged files.

If that still doesn't help, please try moving, renaming or deleting the entire Preferences folder found in the Output folder.

That has not worked. Can you, please, tell me where the output folder is?

The Output folder should be in the main X-Plane folder.
