Hi my PC has the following specification:

  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.4GHZ, 3408Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
  • Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16 GB
  • AMD Radeon R5 330 (2 GB)
Is this enough to properly run XPlane 11?

and if so what settings should I have it on?

I have downloaded the demo

Hi there beeps,

  • Regarding your question above, some of your specifications meet the minimum requirements on the official X-Plane 11 System Requirements page (http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/) for example you have 2GB VRAM on your video card, and although this isn't the recommend specification, it will work to some extent; your RAM of 16GB is enough, as seen on the System Requirements page, a recommended amount of 16-24 GB; and I'm not to familiar with your video card, but if it's a DirectX 11-capable video card it will meet the minimum requirements. Your current CPU should be fine, just .1 GHZ under the recommendation.
  • Although you can buy the beta version of X-Plane 11, you will have to expect very slow load rates, and bad FPS because even those with powerful PC's aren't experiencing the best because in Beta FPS hasn't yet been optimised.
  • Settings is a tricky subject, it's really a matter of trial and error, trial and error and trial and error. Tweak one setting, and if that helps your FPS than keep it like that, keep experimenting with all the others until your satisfied, as all PC's are built differently, theres no one answer to how to configure your settings.

Hope I was able to help.

If you have the money, I would recommend buying at least a 6GB Video Card (around $270). Your processor and 16GB of RAM kick butt, but are handicapped with the tiny video card.
