Almost all 3rd party payware airports request that you turn off the setting that makes runways follow the ground contours. But I do not see this option in XP11.

Anyone know what is going on with this?  I have hundreds of dollars worth of payware airports that are all completely unplayable in XP11.

Thanks in advance!

If you have knowledge of using WED the problem can be fixed.

Thank you X-Plane Addicted, but this answer is a little vague for me.

I looked in WED, but I don't see anything that could solve this problem.  If WED can do it, would you mind pointing me to the specific feature?

1. Open WED.

2. Select "Choose X-Plane Folder button to point WED to your X-Plane folder.

3. Find the Airport you are having issues with. (eg. Runways not flat, Buildings sticking up in the air).

4. When the airport loads in WED (if you do not see the window list on the right hand side of WED, go to the WED menu - View and select Restore Frames.

5. The first listing under the heading "World" is the airports "dat" file. click on this and at the bottom of the listings you will see various menus.

6. Click on "Selection" and then click on Always Flatten. (change the x to a tick).

7. Save the file and then Export Scenery Pack

That's it.

If you have trouble. let me know the Airport/s and if I have them I can help.

You can contact me at [email protected]

Hey Kev!

Thanks so much for your help on this.  Unfortunately it didn't work for me.  I was able to go through all of the steps you provided, but when I load the airport, the runways are still not flat.

If you want to give it a try, the airport I'm playing with is KAPA from the forum:

Thank you!
