FPS plummets, and doesnt recover.

Question

XP 11 beta:

Understandably this is a beta and issues is to be expected. But I have experienced several times that the FPS plummets all of a sudden to around 2-4 FPS and never recovers. Sometimes the sim start with this low FPS, and when I reload the sim, the FPS is normal  - between 30-40 depending where I starts.

My graphics settings are kept conservative, but it still happens.

Any ideas?

I was doodling with the FMS and the same thing happened to me after about 1 hr 30 minutes.  My rate was at 20 FPS and it tanked to 1.5.

Using X-Plane 11.00pb3 (build 110009 64-bit).

We heard about this a lot in X-Plane 10.50. Most people found that an update to their graphics drivers fixed the issue. Make sure Windows is also running the latest update. If that doesn't help, some people found turning of Game DVR helped.
