Receive download error message, "the product key i purchased is for an older version, what do I do?"

Question

I just bought digital version of X-Plane 10, and it won't install because I get an error message the reads "There was a problem installing x-plane 11.  The product key you entered is for an older version.   I can't find anywhere to download version 10.  Did I just throw $50 away?
