Matching up wrap around monitors

Question

Is it important to have matching resolutions for the right and left monitors that are added to the center monitor to create a surround configuration for x-plane 11?  Do the resolutions need to be the same as the center monitor?  What other considerations?  I read section 9 of the manual, but I wasn't clear on this.  I could reduce my spend on the 2nd and 3rd monitors, but am concerned that the result will not be as desired.

Clarification.  My center monitor is a 34" ultra-wide curved LG, with 3440 x 1440 resolution.

I am not associated with Laminar Research but a general flight simmer.

You haven't indicated whether you are a Windows or Mac user.

In all the research I have done about multiple screens ie either monitors or television screens, to create the external view your multiple screen specifications should be identical including the model.  The only difference being the manufacturers serial number on each unit.

The best performance for your outside view screens is 1920 x 1080 resolution.  There are other forums stating that 4K and 3K screens do not give you best benefit.  Others within this forum have also indicated that they experience problems with 4K whereby the size of everything sits in one of the corners of the screen instead of utilising the full screen.

For the price of individual computer monitors you can acquire much larger televisions that will do the same job.

If your graphics card is Nvidia, for better performance make sure the monitors have G-Sync capability and if you are using an AMD card make sure the monitors have Free-Sync capabilities.

I would suggest using your existing curved screen as a fourth screen whereby you display your cockpit instruments.
