I'm running the latest X-Plane 11 demo version (pb9) on my MacBook Pro 13' (late 2016).

When I try to change monitor resolution in the game's graphics settings, at first it freezes for several seconds and the screen does be changed to the expected resolution, e.g. 1280*800, but then the game crashes.

Meanwhile anti-aliasing settings is broken for me too, I have to disable anti-aliasing or the screen will be just pure black.

Your log shows an Intel Iris(TM) Graphics 550 GPU which may not be powerful enough to handle high graphics settings. Please go ahead and send a bug report with Apple crash logs, found in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ (where ~ refers to your Home directory). You may need to show hidden files to get to them.
