why do engines constantly increase and decrease 10 knots up or down? even there s no wind?

in auto throtle mode all planes do this,  they cannot mantain constant speed, turn me crazy!!!  mc Douglas md82 and all teh laminar planes

did you see the commanded throttle and the actual throttle applied?
