What installation options are available for XP11 digital download, can the game data be backed up

Question

Looking to move on to XP11, currently running XP10 via Steam and this is working great for me.

From time to time i need to clear up some space on my PC, and use the Steam backup feature to backup XP10 to my NAS.

Can i do something like this with XP11 if i purchase the digital download version?

Alternatively can all of the installation files (scenery inclusive) be downloaded and stored locally for use later?

For X-Plane 11 Digital Download you can backup your files simply by copying or moving the X-Plane 11 folder to another location. For X-Plane 11 Steam Edition you can use the Steam backup feature.
