PB15 worked great besides some addon issues, but those were not a huge deal, understandable since its a beta. However, the new update came out, and now it will not let me completely install the update. Says "permissions denied" but installed everthing except for 26mb of uncompressed data. It appears that when I try to give full permissions to X Plane in the preferences, a file in the C172 directory will not allow it. Running Windows 10.

Please try the following

1. make sure your firewall is turned off

2. Make sure the folders where you are installing X-Plane are unlocked.  This appears to be an issue of a locked folder or directory.

If this doesn't work... please contact support at [email protected]

By default, X‑Plane will install to the Desktop. Though it can be installed elsewhere (by clicking the Change Destination button), it is strongly recommended that it be placed on the Desktop so that the folder can be found in the future, and so it has correct permission settings. Check destination folder with read/write permissions. You can read more about installation of X-Plane here. Check your folder permissions or move your X-Plane folder to another location. You can read more about file and folder permissions here.
