Hi,

I cannot get multiple monitors to work.  Both slave monitor's scenery jumps around from offset views of the ground to views from earth orbit. They just never 'sync up' with the master machine.  The cockpit display is correct and is solid.  Its just the scenery.  The master machine's scenery is OK.

First some background.  I have 3 computers running 3 instances of X-Plane 11.  They are connected together via a Netgear 1GB switch.  Three ports are used for the 3 computers, the fourth goes to a printer and the fifth goes back to my router.

I have also seen a similar with X-plane 10.51.  I saw this happen there as well.  I was able to somewhat fix it by using clean installs of X-plane.  I never had an issue until I updated to 10.51 (not 100% sure on the version)

The master computer uses a GTX 1070 video card while the slaves use a GTX 970 and a GTX 980 and each are running Windows 10.  They are high end computers with I7 core processors and 16GB of memory.

I don't know if this is a network problem or not.  I have tried several different scenerios, but none of them made any improvements (used WiFi instead, remove all other connections to the port).

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

If the view is changing without your input, check that "AI controls my view" is not turned on on any machine. In the past I've seen issues if the scenery isn't the exact same on all machines. In X-Plane 10 for example, you could get terrible results if one machine was using extended dsfs and one was not (but that option is always on in X-Plane 11).

Hi,

I tried you suggestion, but "AI controls my view" was not enabled on either machine.  I have attached a video to show you what it looks like.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Gary

Yes, I can see how that would be unusable. Make sure you have clean installs with no plugins or custom scenery that may differ between machines.

I tried connect an external visual computer with independent and locked views and did not see this issue. Can you provide more information on exactly how your main computer and one of the secondary computers are set up and networked? Do you have visual offsets entered for the secondary computer for example?

Hi,

The clean install on all of the machines fixed my problem.  Thank you very much for your support.
