Installing 10.21r2 on a MAC

I'm trying to install version 10.21r2 onto my new MAC.  The instructions tell me to click on the X-Plane Icon that appears on my desktop and then click on the Installer_MAC_app.  There is not such file.  How do I install?  There is an X-Plane Installer Icon, but when I click that it doesn't do anything.

If you have Disc 1 in the drive, it should appear on the desktop. On my computer it looks like a picture of a DVD with the label XPLANE10. If you double click that it will open another window which should have a program called X-Plane 10 Installer.app. Double click that to launch the installer and follow the instructions to proceed.

If the installer on the DVD isn't working, you can download the latest version from our website and try that.
