I have a MacBook Air running OS X 10.11.2. x-plane runs well (slow to load) but I cannot find how to look out the cockpit side windows.

Hi Bobgiam,

If the plane has a 3D cockpit (such as the default Cessna) you can use 3D cockpit view to look around. You can access it under the view menu or by pressing shift + 9. Use your mouse to look around (right click and drag your mouse to move the view), or the arrow, period, and comma keys.

Here is some more information in the manual about using the default views.
