I have X-Plane 9 running on a 2009 iMac running El Cap OS 10.11.6 with 8 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 256 MB graphics board. I have a Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant. A few questions:

1. The flight controls seem to be extremely sensitive, to the point where it can be impossible to control the airplane. I have tried various settings on the axis tab and played with the null point but have not found any combination that seems to help much. Is there some setting I have not found that will help this?

2. On some airport/runway locations (such as KRDM), when starting the take off roll, the plane can veer to the side (usually the right) and the yoke will simply not keep it straight even at full deflection. It simply leaves the runway as if it has a mind of its own. Again is there a setting to make? Or would having rudder pedals help with this problem?

3. Is there a DME display that is part of the program? I see that there is a DME button on the audio panel, but can't seem to find any DME readout.

4. Same as above with a flap setting indicator

5. Would a newer version such as X-Plane 10 or even 11 reasonably run on my computer ?

Thank you - Kevin Hodgson,Sisters, OR

I don't think your computer's graphic card would meet the minimum requirements for either X-Plane 10 or 11. You can download the free demo of X-Plane 10 if you'd like to try.

I believe DME or flap indicators would be aircraft specific and would depend on if the artist modeled it or not.
