GNS waypoints

Question

When entering a new waypoint on a flightplan the facility starts with a K regardless of where you are in the world. Is there anyway to change that?

No. In the real GNS units, it depends on the world region of the SD or memory card in the device. Which can hold only so much of the world.

Since our units don't simulate regionalized SD cards, but rather have the whole world accessible all the time, they default to the north american setting of starting with "K".

So doesn't that need to be a setting in a config file somewhere to fake the behavior of the regionalised SD card??  It is very annoying for anyone not located in North America.
