I've installed X-Plane 10 in Linux and I'm trying to set up the NVidia settings so I can make X-Plane span 2 projectors, but I've got no luck so far. X-Plane always uses only 1 screen when put in fullscreen.

PC specs:

  • CPU Intel Core i5-6500 3.2 GHz
  • Motherboard Asus Z170-P D3
  • 8 GB RAM
  • SSD disk drive
  • Asus Strix GeForce GTX 950 2GB DDR5

Settings I've tried:

  • Setting Base Mosaic on/off
  • Enabling/disabling Xinerama
  • Enabling/disabling --only-one-x-screen with nvidia-xconfig
  • Enabling/disabling --twinview-xinerama-info with nvidia-xconfig
  • Setting the full resolution (2560x720) in the X-Plane Screen Res.prf file. X-Plane doesn't detect this resolution and always uses only 1 screen. Also, it doesn't allow me to set a vertical resolution lower than 768.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, this is correct.  One copy of X-Plane running on one machine will draw one (and only one) image.  It is possible to stretch this single image across multiple displays or multiple promoters but it is one display only.
