Update for x-plane 10 takes too long

Question

Trying to update x-plane 10 but the download speeds are only showing 5-7kb/s which is going to take a week to download. Internet speed is 7mb/s. Stopping the download has already made x-plane unusable. Now what?

You will have to continue the update to repair the sim. What update are you downloading? There have been no updates released for X-Plane 10 for about a year.
