I Have an install Question

Question

I bought X plane10 Global Edition on DVD order# 233821 and I did an install on my new computer today.

I downloaded the new installer from your website,I did not use the one on the DVD..

AT the end of Disk 1 and 7 I got an error message {An error occurred during installation The downloaded file has corrupt contents}

I continued and after it was finished Disk 8 it gave me another message.

{There was a problem installing X Plane 10. Please try the installer again later or contact Laminar Research tech support for help} {The Technical problem was the downloaded file has corrupt contents}

I used the DVDs I did not download anything other than the installer?

I am attaching the log file after the install and a log file after I did the update to 10.40

X Plane seems to run ok but I am afraid of having problems down the road because of this?

Hi Roger,

It sounds like either a couple files on the DVDs were messed up, or the installer momentarily couldn't process them. If you ran the installer again and updated, it should fix any file you would need to fly. It looks like the problems were with a couple scenery tiles. You could try uninstalling the scenery around that area, and then reinstalling it to see if it was a momentary glitch.
