Hi,

I am Sales & Mkt Manager of IFA Aviation Training Center, in Portugal and I am evaluating getting X-Plane for simulation purposes.

I made a thorough web search and still canot find any precise answer to:

I need to make a simulator configuration that allows me to have several different aircrafts;

I need to have all major instrument units working on separete touch screens (aircraft mokups);

I need to know how to setup all this, where I believe I will need more than 3 monitors and ideally more than one PC. One for X-Plane simulation and graphics, another(s) for the instruments, another for the instructor station. How far does X-Plane allow to go in terms of hw scalabilty vs functionality?

Please, do not send me to forums once unfortunately I do not have the time to keep researching this, rather kindly send me the answer or specs setup sheet or put me in contact with sales or special configurations department for the business market.

Best regards,

Luis Giraldes

Hi Luis,

X-Plane can support multiple monitors if you only want to display one view (only the cockpit for example). You can also use multiple machines (as well as multiple monitors) to display different views (cockpit on one, instruments on another for example).

You can network up to 20 separate machines together. X-Plane supports unlimited aircraft, although you can only use 1 at a time as the pilot and up to 19 X-Plane controlled AI aircraft.
