Oculus Rift crashes when putting them on head

Question

I'm using the 11.20vr3 version and after 2-3 times of putting the HMD on my head the oculus rift disconnects. Only a reboot fixes this problem for the moment. Then after 2-3 times of putting on and off it crashes again. I tested with oculus and steam beta and non-beta versions.

No other apps have this problem. It's only when using X-Plane.
Any ideas how to fix? Or is it a vr3-bug?

The next VR beta will use the Oculus SDK directly (without the need for Steam VR in between) and should be a lot more stable. We are aiming to have that released next week.
