Latest X-plane 11.20 hanging

Question

I see this is a problem many others are having - program hangs when loading a flight - load bar freezes (flickering unreadable text) immediately following "Finished loading asynchronous loading". Log file attached, http://questions.x-plane.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=15472661903839098954

Interesting...I deleted all files in the X-plane 11/Outputs/Preferences folder, everything works again, although, I need to reconfigure my settings, monitors, etc. I would be interested to know why the update did this though....
