I have no sound on X-Plane after the latest update

Question

Since the latest update to X-Plane on my computer, it says I have no sound initialized and thus will have no sound from the simulator.

How do I fix this situation?

I can't find the Insert File button on this template so I can't attach the Log.txt file at the moment.

Have you checked the Settings/Sound tab to ensure that:
a/ the Enable sounds box is checked and
b/ the sliders are not all at zero?
