11.21r2 is not working

Question

After the update to 11.21r2, when I try to start a flight, it start to load the flight as usual then it gives an error about not being able to use the RESOURCE/DEFAULT SCENERY/AIRPORT SCENERY.

I tried to delete it and then to re-install it using the installer, it re-created the folder, and again it still gived the same error.

I tried to just delete it, and then it started to give error about one  content of the CUSTOM SCENERY after the other.

Right now the simulator is completely useless as it can not be use to start any flights

Hi,

Maybe you should try to follow these steps you described :

But before launching x-plane again, you should delete or move for backup the entire .../X-Plane 11/Output/Preferences folder.

You will lose your settings but it will be almost like starting from a fresh install. You often get rid of a wide variety of problems this way.

This procedure is just as bad as what is going on right now.

The last time that I erased the PREFERENCE folder, it took me months before I could start to enjoy the game again, because nothing with my joystick or even the video worked

I might as well just give up using x-plane ever again in that case

Ok, no idea then. Note that most of the time, you do not have to delete everything in this preferences folder. You can guess which files to keep, in order to keep your joystick and keyboard settings. Their names are very straightforward.

Beside that, I have no other idea to bring (I'm not affiliated with Laminar Research).
