why after about 30 minutes and just before landing, the simulation stops and the main menue screen appears?

while it goes back to the main menu, the "resume flight" option is not available

any advice?

It's possible a button or key has been assigned to something by mistake. Try temporarily resetting to default preferences to see if that fixes the issue. Move the preferences folder (found in the Output folder) to the desktop, then restart X‑Plane and default preferences will be restored. If the default preferences do not fix your problem, you can simply replace them with the folder you moved to the desktop and restore your personalized settings.
