Can I use X-Plane 11 without equipment?

Question

I want to ask if I can play X-Plane  11 without any equipment such as joystick andn other things.

 I tell the face because I see YouTube many people to play this game with  equipment

You can use xplane without equipment but it's much harder than with it. When I first used xplane, I didnt use equipment so I had to steer the plane with my mouse and its almost impossible to keep the plane flying in a straight line. Another issue occurs when adjusting buttons in the cockpit, as soon as you up out of the cockpit window your plane will most likely be in a dive or at some unnatural angle. I would strongly recommend getting a yoke.
