Instructions in how to connect X-Plane 11 and iOS Control Pad

I am using X-Plane ver 11.25 on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS 10.13.6. I have had difficulty getting the X-plane Control Pad to communicate with my x–plane. The iOS I use on both my iPhone and iPad is 11.4.1. I have failed to find any instructions on how to configure X-plane to talk with Control Pad. Please Help!!!

Please see this section of the manual for info & steps on setting up networking from the X-Plane side. IIRC, Control Pad should just find X-Plane as long as it is running. You may need to completely quit the app and restart it to make sure it can find the beacon X-Plane's networking sends.
