can't update x plane 11

Question

Every time i try update x plane 11 it say's "there was a problem updating x plane." (the technical problem was:error  5:0001.)  This is really fustrating as i can't update xp 11, any help on this will reaaly be apprciated.

Hi plane crazy,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

Do you have your antivirus/ malware software turned off?  Do you have administrator rights to run the software?  If not you need to do so.

Attach your latest log.txt file for others to have a look for a possible solution if the suggestions above don't work.  The file that needs to be attached is created when you shut down or your system crashes.
